I was referred to this shop by a trusted guy from Firestone. Ernie was able to diagnosis the problem on my Equinox swiftly and acutely. He is no nonsense kind of guy who will be brutally honest but has a heart of gold. I had him work on my Tacoma afterwards and have never encountered any issues. Ernie has a passion for cars, is fair, and will make sure everything is done correctly often fixing or telling you that something else was done incorrectly. I recommend him to anyone that needs a great and honest mechanic.

I called to inquire about a transmission rebuild, was told they do not work on any transmission that's not installed in the vehicle, went on ranting about liabilities and possibilities of failure during installation... understandable. I asked how much to do the job if i just take the car in and let them start from ground zero, the guy started arguing with me about how the transmission is already out of the car, I informed him that I never said it was out, and is in fact still installed on the vehicle, i was only making a simple inquiry. The guy started stammering and going on about how inconvenient my transmission rebuild would be. At this point I told him "you seem to be looking for excuses and don't seem interested in the job" he said "I'm not". This guy was extremely rude from the beginning, as if I was nothing more than a bother. I'm grateful for their rude behavior, because I'm sure I would've had many problems down the road , had I taken my vehicle here. People that look for excuses are the kind of people that cut corners, definitely not the kind of people you want performing a major repair.

Just had my Silverado serviced, the service was excellent, took it for oil change and transmission service, and owner noted several items that needed attention. The work was done quickly and reasonably. Truck runs great.

I called and spoke to Ernie about getting my transmission fluid flushed. He was NOT polite over the phone (considering he called me back) and was admit I should just get a new transmission without even looking at the car. He said i cant help you at all and you'd be hard pressed to find a mechanic who will. A week later my car is running like new NO thanks to them but thanks to a great place that did a wonderful job.
I will never even call again them again

We are from British Columbia, we were down in Tucson and realized the transfer case on our 2004 3/4 ton Sierra was in need of replacement. We found E & F Transmission on our GPS and drove down there. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but after going in and talking to Ernie he soon convinced us he knew what he was doing.
We were very pleased with his timely and professional work, and getting us back on the road to continue our vacation. He is a very experienced and capable technician who did not take advantage of our situation.
I recommend his shop to anyone in need of drive train work.

I loved this place because it's hard to pick a shop who is going to give you 100% customer service, a super mechanic, who you can trust with your vehicle, reasonable price for work being done and getting the job done in a timely manner. I was traveling home from Phoenix when my transmission went out. My husband and I already knew there was something wrong with the gears, as they were sticking. Mr. Ernie, the super mechanic, quickly took care of us, have us an estimate and the process was started. His partner, his wife, even gave us a ride to a hotel. Saved on a rental. When the work was done, she returned to pick us up.

So if you live in the Tuscon area and need transmission work or are driving through Tuscon and need their services, make sure you call E & F TRANSMISSIONS. You will not be disappointed!

Not a fancy shop but the owner is very good and up front. I have great confidence in this shop. It was recommended to me by a mechanic. I have had three vehicles repaired here. Dealership was trying to rip me off, this shop fixed the problem quickly at about a quarter of the cost.

Representative on the phone sounded confused and didn't know what was going on in their shop. Told me that the car was too new and I should take it somewhere else, OK No Problem. Not sure why this company is a preferred provider with Carvana if they don't want to service vehicles.
