Order the Khoa Soi, then ask for an order of roti ($3, not on menu) to dip in the Khoa Soi. Amazing.

I had an opportunity to try a lot of the food here with a group of friends. Appetizers were ok: the beef salad was extremely salty but decent, the coconut shrimp was expensive but decent, chicken wings were on the small side, the soups however were pretty good (Tom Kha, Tom Yum). Entrees wise, the Pad Thai with crab and shrimp, Yum! lots of shrimp, very little crab but everything tasted pretty good. Green curry was sweet but it tasted really good nonetheless. Rice is separate but it tasted really soothing. Crying Tiger is basically a flank steak seared and served with rice. The beef itself was tender and fairly flavorful. Service was good but parking was non-existent (Downtown LA).

This restaurant is quickly becoming one of my favorite go-to spots for lunch. I always get chicken pad siew (current price is $11) and it's better than most other places. Prices here are reasonable by downtown standards. The portions are just right, maybe even generous of you're a light eater. I especially love the colorful interior and the outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant--it's a tiny area surrounded by building on three sides and mechanical equipment on the fourth but it's screened so it almost feels like a courtyard.

Update: I knocked off two stars because they've screwed up my order at least 3 times (once while dining in and twice when I ordered for pick up). Unfortunately, the honeymoon phase has ended and the food doesn't taste as good as it did when it first opened.

Nice downtown Thai restaurant - great food, reasonable prices
We came here for lunch: Pad Thai was great and the Sattay was the best I had in a long time!
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
There’s a pool table and a bar with a nice beer selection
I recommend this place, although parking is not always easy..

While Sharing one appetizer, one salad and one entree with two friends satisfied our appetites, and offered us an opportunity to have a sit-down dinner at a somewhat nicely decorated restaurant, I wouldn't care to return here.
Our fried calamari appetizer was greasy, soggy, and just didn't have the fried crust adhering to the rings, leading to a messy and frustrating opener. The salad and the entree performed to standard
Our server was friendly and helpful, but he couldn't avert the feeling of desolation that came from sitting at that expansive, cavernous dining room that didn't have many other tables filled.
I could see this place being a hit for lunch, but unfortunately I came for dinner. No, thank you.

Food was okay. I ordered the pad see ew and the papaya salad. Pad see ew was good but the papaya salad was really bad. The salad tasted like the kitchen used some sort of lime juice instead of actual limes. Service was terrible. Our waiter seemed like a nice guy but he was just overworked. So Long Bye.

Stunningly good Thai food in downtown LA. Get the chicken wing appetizers and the prik king. Absolutely amazing. Seriously, the chicken wings? Done in the Korean fried chicken style but better than Kyo chon chicken, and that's saying something. Awesome place.
