We went to the House of Spirits event yesterday for the first time. It is probably one of the more interesting and unusual things we’ve ever experienced- and we do a lot of unusual.

I’d describe it as an adult, haunted house, mystery theater, burlesque, nightclub party. It is definitely not for children (there was one room with completely naked performers)
We thought House of Spirits was excellent. The space, decorations, costumes and especially the performers. They were really into their craft and interactive with guests. We also really enjoyed all the specialty cocktails. We went midday which was less expensive and thought it is was a good value for the experience. As there were significantly fewer attendees midday we had a far more interactive experience than if it were packed - which I feel would also have been fun but more in a nightclub/ party sort of way where you might interact with other attendees more.

Although they had musical performances, it actually would be good for that one selected room to have music playing constantly -between performances- and a paid bar option -to lean things more to a party vibe. We did spend a hefty $34 (with tip) for 2 light pours of red wine in the lobby which I would not recommend. We would have happily paid for another specialty cocktail or two (but in the actual venue) not the lobby.

We definitely recommend experiencing House of Spirits -especially with a small group of friends!

I had the pleasure of attending House of Spirits, an immersive theatrical cocktail soirée in Los Angeles. This sophisticated evening exceeded my expectations, offering an eerie blend of macabre entertainment, surreal magic, and memorable interactions. I love immersive theatre, but open world exploration is my favorite style because it allows me to decide which characters to interact with and how long I want to explore each space.

Upon entering the mysterious Nocturne Theatre, I was transported into Casa Vega, a haunted mansion where specters roam free. I immediately headed up the stairs toward the restrooms when a shirtless creature blocked my path to ask my name. I was impressed by how quickly the cast engaged with guests, but even more by how they remembered our names and previous conversations as they continued to cross paths with us throughout the evening.

As I explored the mansion, I encountered more bizarre characters and hidden spaces, each with their own sinister story to reveal. Interacting with the inhabitants of the house was a highlight, uncovering the dark secrets that haunt Casa Vega. I followed the Francisco, Molly and Magpie story on my visit discovering the unfortunate circumstances that befell them. I also enjoyed the creature challenge. The séance was effective at both fascinating me and communicating important story details. However my favorite character to chat with was Poppet.
The Giant Ouija Board was a spirited experience, allowing guests to commune with those beyond the veil. There was also an incredible vocal performance in one of the lounge areas. Her cover of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy is my new favorite version of that song. The cleverly crafted miniature cocktails (or mocktails) included with the ticket added to the evening’s charm as well.

House of Spirits is an avant-garde, 21+ event that promises an unforgettable night. With its stylish décor, craft cocktails, and interactive entertainment, this soirée is ideal for those seeking a sophisticated Halloween experience in Los Angeles. There are a few ticket options, but the gold ticket package also includes a special creature interaction that leaves guests with delicious, rich chocolates.

Having been to House of Spirits in another state in the past, I've noticed similarities to the LA one, but there were enough differences that it was worth going again. You get what you want out of the experience; you can interact with the actors to gain access to additional experiences.

This was a delight to experience. Aside from the thoughtful decor and the wonderful actors in gorgeous costume designs, there was just so much to do in the time frame! The drinks were just a plus, but I truly enjoyed all the effort and activities there were to witness and participate in. From the mystery to the maze, or the shows going on the whole time in the theater (there's more without spoiling), it was a grand eerie playground for a curious spooky adult ?❤️.

You should definitely go and lean into the vibe! While it is a Halloween event and it is creepy and eerie it is not pee-your-pants scary, which is what I was worried about. The spirits are amazing - in both look and personality. Parking is easy, the "house" was easy to navigate and was entertaining for all 3 of us. In our group, we had varying degrees of motivation to find out the mystery, but all of us agreed that it was a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! And we all felt transported to another time/space.

This was an amazing experience. Bobby Stitch did some amazing magic. The Captain (old solider) was so nice and informative. It was great. The cocktails were delicious. Costumes were amazing. Performances unreal. Haunting music. Singer and dancers were perfect. Overall this has just been the best experience anyone could ask for. Fun. Entertaining. Spooky. Following the clues was so rewarding. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We went to House of Spirits - Vaughan Hall yesterday and had oh so much fun! The event was well-organized, the actors' costumes were exquisite, and the 2 allotted hours were just the right amount of time to enjoy everything. For the most part the event wasn't scary (the maze is dark and characters approach you.. a little scary if you're jumpy) but more of a mystery to solve! There are also some burlesque dancers who put on a great show. We found free street parking easily. We're already talking about how we can't wait to do this again next year.
