I am going to go ahead and leave a REAL review of this years 2023 Ruskin Seafood Festival! WOW! It's back and better than ever!

I have been in the Apollo Beach area since 2009 and I can say that this one has been one of the BEST yet! There were great options of food by local vendors with FRESH seafood, BBQ, you name it! Considering the event it put on by the chamber volunteers I would expect the vendor booths be be businesses. The kids area had bounce houses, petting zoo and hands on activities. The music was great with local talent and the commodore was even better. Way to go Greater SouthShore Chamber of Commerce, you all knocked this one out of the park! 😁 I read they are adding ART booths next year! We are looking forward to the Ruskin Seafood Festival for many more years to come!

Vendors I remember that I personally tried with my family! Sweet Tea Tiki Bar (Devil Crab & Tea) Roots Southern BBQ (Pulled Pork BBQ, Sausage & Catfish Stew) The Ruskin Seafood Company, Inc. (Tuna Poke Bowl and Crab Legs) SpectrumSqueeze (Lemonade)

My child had a corn dog & fries from the BIG carnival like truck, which was nice to have there for the kids! 👏

Vendors are either businesses selling hot tubs, etc or some of the same local vendors you see every weekend at the pop up markets for free. They didn't advertise that you had to buy tickets for food and only took cash so we paid to park, paid to get in and couldn't enjoy the food as it was cash only. Totally disappointed. I emailed the event coordinator and never got a response. Will not be returning.

What a great event!! The food 5 stars. The live entertainment 5 stars. Parking 5 stars ( I’m old). And believe me or not… the portable restrooms were the Absolute Best I’ve ever seen.

Food was terrible and very overpriced! Seemed like a money grab, there was No Value at all.

Two stars for the bounce houses that my kids enjoyed very much. This should be called “Ruskin Winter Festival” not Seafood festival. There is no good nor local seafood in this place. The nasty fried and oily food truck food is way overpriced and there is nothing good about it. Once and never again for us at this festival.

Parking was a nightmare, food was good but pricey. Most vendors were there to advertise their business. Was hoping for more vendors selling their arts and crafts.

Not worth paying $5 to look at a bunch of trinket booths. Food was way overpriced and not great. Grouper was more like Alaska Cod than anything. Once was enough.
