It was fun with lots of great people, music, food, and art booths. I really enjoyed it, BUT... the bathrooms. I wouldn't bring them up if not so bad. There were two that would literally Tip as you walked in, another so disgustingly filthy I won't elaborate, the 3rd no TP. What a shame something so basic, especially with lots of beer served, left a negative memory...

Fun time, but it’s not Oktoberfest.
Having come from quite a few other Oktoberfests from Wisconsin through Texas I can say that this is just a town festival with some German food and beer. I’m sitting between insurance booths and CBD salesmen, listening to Johnny cash.

Good time, NOT Oktoberfest.

You must purchase tickets in advance for food and beer.

Food was average.

The layout left much to be desired as the lines for the beer were snaking between rows of tables resulting in ridiculously long waits. All for $7 cups of foam... I am guessing they were pouring about 6 ounces per pour.

This was our first year as a vendor at Southlake's Oktoberfest. There won't be a second time.
Communication between the Chamber of Commerce (the event organizer) and vendors was not remotely timely. I was given different load-in times and dates on 3 different occasions and only received an actual map / layout 4 days prior to the event.

They schedule musical events simultaneously and within rock-throwing distance from each other. This results in a total cacophony, especially after the sound from the main stage bounces off the Town Hall edifice.

Vendor parking is not particularly convenient and the Southlake PD issues tickets for the most ridiculous of "offenses". They operate more like a backwater one-horse town in rural Tennessee than an upscale city in the DFW Metroplex. Case in point: I received a $111 ticket for parking facing traffic in an area used ONLY for vendor parking during the event. There was ZERO through traffic and no one on the streets. This is nothing more than a revenue producing tactic.

Sales were pathetic during the event. The single worst show in terms of revenue we have ever done. It was a complete waste of 2-/2 days for us, especially when you factor in the hassle of fighting a mickey mouse ticket.
