Such a cool place, everyone is always dressed up and it’s such a fun time. Had such a great time but I wished they had more options for when it rains bad and my main complaint is they only take cash. We also had to stand in separate lines to get a different type of food even though we stood in the same booth, I wish you could just grab what you wanted right away. Otherwise, so much things to see and it’s super cool seeing all the vendors!

We had so much fun at the Colorado Renaissance Festival! Despite the crowds, the lines for bars and food vendors were very manageable.

I was grateful we were able to bring in our own water and then refill our bottles at refill stations throughout the festival. Having electrolyte packets with us definitely helped us beat the heat.

The turkey leg was super tender. My favorite drink is 1/2 meade & 1/2 hard cider and I was able to find it at a few of the pubs.

We were always able to find a seat for the shows we wanted to see as long as we got there early. The entertainment line up was really great this year!

Already looking forward to the next season.

SO. MUCH. FUN! From vintage activities such as jousting, to shopping homemade goods, to eating massive turkey legs! The renaissance festival was an absolute blast! No outside food or drink permitted. Parking wasn't terrible but a lot of this area is uphill so bring some extra comfy walking shoes. There are handicap places to park. Definitely worth checking out!

Great experience, variety of food and entertainment! 4 stars! Since prices have gone up, it is ridiculous! Come with a full belly or lots of money! Fun times for sure, though we have a blast every year! Didn't purchase too much this year, being it was so expensive to eat and drink! Also come early for close parking! Traffic to the fair was a long wait!

Lots of extremely inappropriately dressed people, including a lot of very scantily dressed cross dressers, but the actual festival was really very fun and mostly kid friendly!! The vendors were very sweet and fun, and we were able to buy some very cool things!!

Side note, arrive WELL before it opens, we spent 3 hours in traffic because they close the road to get in at like 9:15 so it forces you to go a very long, very choked back road. The next time we went we arrived at 8:45 and that worked way better!!

This was fantastic! We had so much fun! The parking was crazy, there were SO many people. The staff and acting was great, everyone was super kind!

The food was great, they had lots of yummy options. We had turkey legs with beer and a Marg for lunch. Later shared a funnel cake and some fried ice cream!

*Parking tip* Arrive EARLY. We waited in about a 20 min line that backed up all the way to the highway and we arrived 20 min before opening. They were organized though, I just recommend getting there even earlier, maybe 45-60 min.

There is not a hold up at the actual entrance if you have digital tickets, but the traffic there for about four miles leading up to the event takes around 30mins. Thankfully, even though you end up parking more than a quarter mile away from the entrance, they have shuttle buses now to the farther away parking lots. The most reasonably priced game that was worth it to play, was the real crossbows. 5 arrows for 5$. Everything else was extraordinarily over priced 😂 in this small town girls opinion 😂😆 however if you like people watching or drinking, you will have a great time. It's way easier to find a beer than a soda or water and since I don't drink , I was thirsty 😂😆 lastly, it's hard to tell who is an actor, vendor or guest because the turn out of dressed to impress people was AMAZING 😍 (4 stars due to overpricing not experience, the experience is worth the admission đŸŽŸïž)

The Colorado Renaissance Festival in Larkspur is a delightful escape into a bygone era, filled with vibrant costumes, engaging performances, and a plethora of unique vendors. Whether you're a fan of jousting tournaments, whimsical fairy tales, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a bustling medieval market, there's something for everyone. The entertainers are top-notch, bringing the spirit of the Renaissance to life with humor, skill, and authenticity. The food and drink options are varied and delicious, offering everything from giant turkey legs to sweet treats.

However, be prepared for large crowds. To make the most of your visit, here are a few tips:

1. Arrive Early: To avoid the bulk of the crowds and get good parking, try to arrive as soon as the gates open.
2. Buy Tickets Online: Purchasing tickets in advance can save you time and hassle at the entrance. Plus, it sometimes comes with a discount.
3. Food Lines: There are multiple food stands, but not all lines move at the same pace. Pay attention to which lines are for which food or drink, and don't hesitate to ask a staff member if you’re unsure.
4. Ask Around: If you see something interesting, whether it’s a piece of art, a costume, or a food item, don’t hesitate to ask the person where they got it. Festival-goers are usually friendly and happy to share their finds.

Despite the crowds, the Colorado Renaissance Festival is a magical experience that's well worth the visit. With a little planning, you can make your day both enjoyable and memorable.
