C'était initialement un palais de justice.
Le gouvernement de l'Ontario prévoyait sa démolition en 1980.
La Ville d'Ottawa l'a sauvé en 1985 et en a confié la gestion à la Fondation de la Cour des arts d'Ottawa.
Depuis 1988, le bâtiment a été restauré et transformé en un centre artistique important d'Ottawa.

On ne sait pas exactement si la Cour des arts d'Ottawa propose elle-même des cours d'arts.
Par contre, on sait que c'est un carrefour artistique qui accueille :
Des galeries d'art.
Des spectacles d'avant-garde.

Fabulous experience and a curious venue, great for exploring. Attended an information session on arts funding through the City of Ottawa, very insightful and helpful. Might come back and buy an original painting now, so fun!

Stumbled upon this place with my friends on a day we [unsuccessfully] tried to go to OAG (Ottawa Art Gallery). They had a scavenger hunt that took you through the building on all floors looking for specific art based on the clues. Will recommend 100%.

I love coming to this arts complex. Over the years, I have attended art exhibits, book launches, a dance show, gone to the Ottawa Fringe Festival, and attended other special events. You can also go to concerts, films, and other cultural/arts events here. A true gem in Ottawa's cultural community

Get rid of the deadbeat wannabes. This city has outstanding performers and artists - but you rarely find them at Arts Court. Fire the managers and bring in "Achieve or Leave" rules. __

A great community centre for arts. They have a large variety in visual, performance and interactive arts on a daily basis. The layout of the place can be a bit confusing but it's an older building. The rooms are extremely big and this is great for art facilities. Overall this is a gem within the city. Go check it out!

The Arts Court is a fun venue with a variety of performances! I've been there for burlesque shows, Holiday variety shows, and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's a great spot for something out of the ordinary.
