The hotel is located very close to the beach, allowing one to experience sunsets with hardly any effort. That's a huge plus. The check-in was a good and quick experience, very polite and helpful staff who provided some useful advice. On the downside, the room wasn't really clean, there was mould in the bathroom, and towels were stained (washed, yet not well bleached). Carpet floors haven't seen washing in a long time.

Stayed for a couple of nights to explore the surrounding area. Although it’s rated 2 Star it definitely deserves better! The staff were friendly & welcoming, the hotel was bright & clean. The bedroom was a bit small & got hot at night but it was clean & had everything we needed. It was nice to sit out on the balcony which captured the sun in the evening. The breakfast was self-serve & very good. The lovely clean beach was only 2 minutes walk. Would stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the recent heatwave and loved everything about Hotel Colinette.|||| In spite of there not being air-conditioning we kept cool with opening the verandah doors plus frequent blasts with the excellent fan and having a quick cool splash under beautifully appointed showers. (Full marks too to the super smiley and speedy cleaner we saw whizz past in the morning.)||||The whole place was light and airy and spotlessly clean and fresh. The breakfast selection was superb and we appreciated being able to sit in the cool of the garden area and take our time, even though the wifi was a bit dodgy at times.||||It was a charming affluent area, the beach was so close, parking was outside and we loved the reasonably priced beach bar/restaurant, sitting outside with a beer and tapas while the sun set over Royan. ||||We are Australian: my husband prefers a real swim in surf and kept an eye on the tide times but I personally love swimming in calm flat shallow water of the wide bay, ideal for children. I do not know what it is like there in the high season or with little kids but our weekend there at the end of June was just idyllic. ||||The proprietors of Hotel Colinette have an excellent eye for detail and on our next visit we will hope to try the food and games.||||We were horoughly delighted with our sudden choice to visit Royan and choose Hotel Colinette.||||Thank you.

chose a room with balcony, for a 3 night stay, which was cosy, clean and comfortable great WI-FI, and easy parking at a very reasonable rate. Ideal location only a few min walk to the beach,
shops, and eating places, breakfast was ample & fresh (great coffee) i will certainly return in the future.

On the one hand the location is excellent as the pristine beach is fifty yards away, on the other hand its mid way between Royan and St Georges so either involves a 20 minute walk. That said , despite freezing February weather we were happy to walk. Rooms are clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities although there’s no milk in the room for the tea / coffee and the shower in our room leaked a bit but these are minor considerations . Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice . Excellent value room for 68 euros.

Great location close to Le Grande Plage on the edge of Royan. Somewhere secure to store our electric tandem. Warm welcome although not much English spoken. Our room was small but had an ensuite and a small balcony. Roller shutter to drop for security and shade if required. Breakfast not included but was worth the 9 euro (fruit, yoghurt, pastries, pancakes, baguette, cheese, ham, butter, jams, pureed fruit, kiwis, coffee and tea. Also juices and cereals). Would recommend to fellow cyclists

The hotel is situated close to the beach and the town centre. However we were most disappointed by the room, which had no window and meant that we had to sleep with the door open as it was a hot summers night.||The T.V in the room was out of order;||we found this hotel bad value for the price of the room, and will certainly not return.||I travel often and am experienced in different hotels around the world, this is certainly not one I will pass on .

Quiet location, clean and friendly. My little dog loved it too! Pleasant balcony overlooking the street, and only 100m from the promenade.
