Kaleido Family Arts Festival - Edmonton, Alberta

This creative family arts fest is spectacular and jam packed with fun things to see and do.

It was our first time attending Kaleido and our 6.5 year old kiddos had the best time (so did we!). They especially loved the sunburst balloon backpacks ($8 at the purple info tent), the live music acts, the mural artists in action, dancing with Puddle of Mud, the medieval sword fights and trying out the stilts in the family zone.

The variety of performers/exhibits and its accessibility were also a hit. Art is for all!
Kudos to the organizers and volunteers!

*free parking is readily available around the neighbourhood. There are food trucks and restaurants around the festival site so bring cash or a debit card.

We went out last night for a family experience. We brought a 9 month old baby and she was mesmerized the entire time. No crying for her. There were lots of lights in the night sky and lots of action to keep her interested. I really enjoyed it. The parade reminded me of a night time Mardi gra. I hope this festival grows larger bc it really is a nice event. There was a live band and independent musicians playing all over. There are food trucks and some local restaurants stay open a bit later. I'm going back.

If I could have given less stars, they wouldn’t have even gotten 1 star. Horrible event to be involved in. Festival goers stealing merchandise from vendors, incompetent staff and over priced vendor spots. All vendors avoid this event.

Alberta Avenue hosts several festivals during the year. Just went to the Kaleido Family Arts Festival and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of activities for the family. Awesome live entertainment and music. It’s an outdoor festival so the weather can be a problem sometimes but tonight it was great. If it’s a bit cold then there are several fire pits spaced throughout the festival area. This is a great festival to come to and enjoy.

Fantastic annual event in the inner city. Lots of free parking around Avenue neighbourhood. Great place to bring the kids and family for a weekend of fun. I attend every year.

Who thought it was a good idea to wake families up at 11 pm. On top of that forcing a police escort. This is rediculus that you think it's ok to disturb an entire block at night.
