I can barely even find the words to explain what a bad experience I had. During my initial fact-gathering, I confirmed this doctor is in network with my insurance, but I am long-distance. I asked how soon we might be able to get me qualified to have the RFA procedure before the end of the year due to my concern over my deductible resetting. Crissy was helpful in answering questions - but I felt like I was having to chase people down when getting my records to them to ascertain receipt and keep moving forward. Again, mentioning my deductible deadline. Meeting with the doctor was good - happy that they were willing to do a telemed appt. In talking with Dr. Ragsdale, we had a nice interchange and part of that was my curiosity concerning why so few doctors perform this procedure. He mentioned this is still considered experimental, but I advised that UHC covers it and there is a CPT code. He remarked that he’d have to talk to his staff about that. (But, no caution given that he didn’t think there would be a problem). I had been offered an appt the next week, so I was doing my best to make sure all was order by Friday since they would be closed and I’d need to travel. I was sent a statement showing that they had checked with my insurance and the amount remaining that I would owe. It was a fair amount more than I was expecting, so I taller UHC to again verify the correct CPT code and The typical cost of the procedure. The CSR mentioned that the doctor’s office would need to file a pre-authorization and they usually take 3-4 days to go through. I was very taken aback since the estimate had wording stating that had been done. I had also received a text from Stacey saying that had been done. But, I was assured by the CSR that none was filed. Crissy sent me a text that she was waiting for me concerning the insurance. At this a point I was quite confused as to what was happening & Crissy said she’d have Stacey call me. When she did so & I asked about the pre-cert, she then told me that it’s self-pay. I objected, stating that I had confirmed that this procedure is covered by UHC. She then resumed her voice at me and said “WE DON’T FILE! several times in a row until I told her to stop! I continued to ask questions whereupon I realized that I had been misled all that time and actually LIED to by telling me that they had checked with my insurance!! I am extremely hurt, angry, and feel so betrayed. Consumer beware!!! (I would post a photo of the document they sent as proof, but that has personal info.)

Had a problem of my nose dripping for quite a while. Dr Tim give me a prescription for some nose drops. Next day, no more drips

Dr. Ragsdale examined me thoroughly and immediately identified the source of my problem. Using graphics, he patiently explained to me where my problem lay and why it occurred. He then advised me on treatment. I’ve had this problem for months and had it misdiagnosed several times. So glad to get the answers I was seeking! Thanks, Dr. R!
