My family and I visit SOI Thaifoon in downtown Kitchener regularly, and it’s always an amazing experience! The fact that it's 100% halal is a huge plus for us. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food never disappoints. Every dish is packed with flavor, and you can really tell they care about the quality and consistency. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for delicious Thai food in the area!

Nice ambiance and very nice owner but I must leave my honest review, the food wasn’t bad, but it also was evidently not the most authentic flavour and texture. I ordered gluten free pad Thai (it’s nice they have the option) but I must say it tasted kinda like the ketchup version of pad Thai. Pad Thai is made with low cost ingredients so I just can’t
justify $18 for a single person portion of pad Thai that isn’t better than thai express. I would definitely be open to trying more on the menu like a curry but this restaurant seems to be serving a westernized version of Thai food—serving personal portions in an “order at the cash register” fashion but sold for the higher price of the real deal. You even have to go pick up your own order. A very strange modern restaurant concept that seems to justify a higher price with less effort. I will say, it is beautifully decorated, and it may be perfectly suited for the Waterloo resident unfamiliar with the style of cuisine.

I came here with my family. 8 adults 1 baby. Amazing. 10/10 food and experience, I will come back here again to try more dishes

I had the stir fry beef garlic peppercorn hot, coconut chicken soup hot, Thai tea frappe. All very delicious

Here's what we all ordered:
- shrimp Pad Thai
- beef yellow curry
- mango salad, fresh roll, spring roll
chili chicken, Thai iced tea
- Pad Thai street style, chicken sate
- beef drunkard noodle
- chili chicken

Expensive Thai food for what you get.
Fresh rolls were good but could use more mint. Peanut sauce was standard nothing special.
Pad Thai didn't taste anything like Pad Thai. It reminded me more of a pad see ew that I've had before. It was really soy sauce based which isn't usually how Pad Thai tastes. The flavour of it was good but it was an entirely different dish.
Portion size was pretty small for the price.
I don't think I'd eat here again knowing that there is more authentic food around the corner for same price.

Loved this new Thai place. Ordered chilli chicken with fried egg noodles, tom yum soup and satay chicken salad. the food is super tasty and the service is quick. Great ambience but its a small place with less dine in space, however a great option to order food. I would recommend it to everyone who likes to enjoy tasty Thai food.

I tried the chicken pad thai based on the gentleman that was taking my order’s recommendation and it did not disappoint! The spice level was perfect (I love spicy food) and it was very flavorful! I also got the crispy wontons on the side which were yummy.

I do wish the portions were bigger for what I paid for, otherwise I enjoyed my experience here.

I was here few times and every time was very happy with food and interior inside. I took here two types of soups, both are great and I really recommend to try both it is 100% worth it! Also I tried here peanut pasta, which is also tasty and mango salad, I do not really recommend it, because mango was hard and without any taste.

Great food at SOI Thaifoon! Have tried nearly half the items on the menu and all were good.

Limited space inside, so have had it happen a few times that there wasn't a table when stopping by.
