Micheal at the front desk is a joke. The hotel does not follow their online policies. The front desk guy Micheal has the worst attitude and he has no sense of communication with zero people skills.

Based on front desk experience there is a ZERO percent chance of me staying here again.

He refused to let us talk to his boss, or his management staff. “Contact Wyndam resort line”

Diamond membership has zero meaning.

Here with 3 families, 6 adults with 3 kids. Military families.

Rooms are dark and out dated. Front desk not helpful. there’s a door for joined rooms which I didn’t like. Cold rooms with no thermostat but an heater/ac. Not worth it. Bedding makes your skin itchy to much bleach or something.

WORST SERVICE!
I spent the last 4 days getting harassed by staff.
Stayed here for out of town work. Was not provided with a "Do not disturb/clean" sign for the door. Upon returning one night came into to the room to personal things moved around and rummaged through. Also some items missing/discarded. Went down to the front desk to ask for a sign for the door. The lady was behind a barricade so I gestured for her to "come here" 🫴. This lady lost her mind! Started screaming at me. (Note I am 18F) saying "what dis mean" etc. I stated I just needed to ask her a question but she was behind the barricade and couldnt hear me. She proceeded to tell Micheal(manager) that I was "sexually harassing her". Camera was reviewed and sound clearly heard me say " I just needed to ask you a question". She threatened to call the police and kick us out. After I left the incident and went to my room. They called my room. When I didn't answer they then called my personal cell phone asking me to come down to the front and continue to yell at me( it was 10:30 pm). This was after she “couldn’t hear me” and proceeded to get Micheal
Move on to next day I was sitting in the lobby having a coffee waiting for crew to finish eating where Micheal called me over (same hand gesture movement) where he informed me I could not just sit in the lobby. That the lady was "afraid to come out from the back" and that I was "just taunting her". Next morning I sat to eat in the breakfast room with my crew. Again Micheal came into the breakfast room, came to our table and said that I needed to "leave and go eat in my room". We said that wasn't right and he proceeded to KICK US OUT of the hotel!.
This hotel is UNREAL! Their level of disrespect for the people staying there is top notch.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Zero stars if possible.

I will never stay at a Super 8 again after my experience at the Athabasca location.

The front desk staff member on the evening of October 10th made me feel completely demeaned and beneath him right in front of my family.

When I was simply asking him to explain the charges, he was trying to push through a bill of approximately **$1,400 for two standard rooms**—a charge utterly insane for this type of hotel. While I was holding the check-in paper, **he physically pulled it out of my hand** and then threatened to call the police, claiming I was "violent with the paper." We were coming in for a funeral, so disrespectful.

This entire interaction was aggressive, unprofessional, and humiliating. The lack of basic respect and the dishonest charging attempts were shocking. Save yourself the trouble and stay anywhere else.

Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and nice. Salt water pool is lovely. The entire property is exceptionally clean. Breakfast was better than most hotels. Beds were comfortable. All in all a great stay.

Was here for 2 weeks for work. Rooms were fairly quiet, very comfy beds, nice pool/hot tub with waterslide. The included breakfast is very good and never got bored of it. Staff seems to be very busy quite a bit but helpful when they're available. If your on night shift advise to ask for the silent rooms.

Definitely take all these reviews with a grain of salt, I don't think it deserves a 1 star. Yes the ice machine still doesn't work, not the end of the world. Overall very nice hotel, kind helpful staff would be happy to come here again

Me and my crew stay there for 4 nights and my one crew members called one of ther Co worker over to get a do not Disturb plack and the woman freek out and said she Sexually Harassed. her Then thruo out all the other nights they kept. Saying she's not allowed to go in certain rooms. And on the last day they kicked us out without giving us a reason.Or or a paper saying we're kicked out

Spent 2 days at this Super 8, Thursday and Friday July 3&4, 2025.
So impressed!
Staff were incredibly professional and helpful, and really helped us out since we didn't have a reservation.
First thing we noticed was how clean Everything was! It even smells clean! Not disinfectant clean, just clean...like home.
Our room was spotless, honesly spotless. Haven't seen a hotel this clean since our 4 star Mexican visit. The bathtub gleamed. I'm fussy as heck - so it surprised me as well.
Very good beds, lovely linens, and 4 pillows on each bed!
With the blackout blinds and it being so quiet we both slept 😴 amazingly. Overheard folks at breakfast saying they hadn't had such a good sleep in ages! We agree!
The pool and hot tub are salt not chlorine. A very nice feature! Again, super clean! Floors, pool, chairs, all spit spot. Must say that pool is Very Chilly though. We swim regularly and it was tough to get in and we were super cold when we got out. Even laps didn't help us warm up.
So that's a small complaint, maybe most travelers don't swim? IDK
The breakfast was fine. Nothing fancy but well prepared. Hot was hot, nice yogurts and fruit. Milk, juice etc. Nice selection.
Coffee, tea, and juice available all day and evening. Good coffee too. Could maybe suggest a couple more caffeine free choices of tea, but really appreciated 👏
We would not hesitate to refer our friends and family to stay here.
