The pizza is amazing. Buffalo chicken was great. But make sure you get the ranch dressing to dip the pizza in. Takes it to a different level. Shelby works her ass off and does a great job behind the bar. Super friendly and quick.

Thank you to The Other Place for such amazing staff! Oh, you think I mean Tom? My bad, let me explain.

Christi and Kayla are amazing. You walk in and are immediately greeted with warmth and excitement you are there. You can tell from the start both these ladies WANT to get you drinks and food that make you happy. It isn’t even a “pride” in their work but a genuine caring that what they hand you is what will make you happy. All over the service industry, managers are training their staff to “raise the bar”. At the OP the bar is so high, Hunter Biden can’t find his coke. So if you like great bar food (only at downtown OP), average TVs, decent music and service that will change your perception of reality…stop in and ask for Christi or Kayla. Dudes, I’ll crush your spirits now as they are both married.

Food is amazing! Their house mozzarella sticks are on point. Pizza is awesome, love the crunchy crust. Atmosphere is typical of a sports bar, but welcoming for sure! Staff is friendly and attentive. Neat seeing some of the old signage on the walls. Plenty of tvs to watch sports up around. Overall very pleased with the visit, and would highly recommend!

As the HQ of the Iowa Hawkeyes watch parties, the OP provides a wonderful environment to take in the big games amongst fellow Hawkeyes.

The service is typically pretty fast and friendly. They offer a wide variety of beer and mixed drinks, a long with non-alcoholic beverages. The food menu provides something for everyone from pizza to burgers and a mix of pub grub in between.

Whether to watch the Hawkeyes eek out a defensive victory at Kinnick or just to enjoy a nice taco pizza and a margarita, the OP has you covered!

DELICIOUS and CONSISTENT!
Honestly this is one of KC’s best kept secrets and i don’t want to share but must!!! Literally every time I order from here there isn’t anything I have gotten that isn’t good. Their pizza is bomb, their mozzarella sticks are bomb, the burgers are bomb. Highly recommend the South Philly Burger. Service is awesome, atmosphere is lovely. Support Local!

The service and atmosphere are top-notch.

I have no problems with how the food is cooked, served or presented, but it's just not tasty because the recipes play it safe. Nothing remotely resembling spicy, innovative or original anywhere on the menu. It's just bland like they're trying to present the gustatory equivalent of the shade of beige that predominates in OP south of College, rather than to actually take the risk of trying to create great food that someone will really, really like.

Best idea; go to Viona's for very good Italian at good prices, then go to TOP for fun, drinks and game-watching.
